Show & Tell

As I continue to post these updates, I'm finding that it's much for fun to show rather than tell. I like to wait until I have several pictures to share, which explains the delay. But it's way better than simply typing about what I'm doing, right?

Here's what I've been up to these past few weeks:

On Tuesday, February 5th, our restaurant - Duplex on Third - hosted French Tuesdays.
(French Tuesdays is a social club that hosts exclusive parties every other Tuesday at beautiful venues in major cities around the world, including Los Angeles.)

Kelly, Sylva and I at French Tuesdays.

Those of you who know me know that Valentine's Day is my LEAST favorite holiday.
I posted this photo jokingly with the caption:
"This is the extent of my Valentine's Day cheer."

Luckily Matt shares in my dislike for this cheesy day.
He's been really busy these past couple weeks,
so we decided to celebrate (un)Valentine's Day sometime this week.

Treats from home made this Valentine's Day a little brighter :)

I ran into "Billy Abbott" (real name Billy Miller) from Y&R on Friday night!
It's safe to say this was the highlight of Mom's and my weekend :)

Saturday morning,
Sydney, Anna, Morgan and I went on a hike up to the Griffith Observatory.

A view of the Hollywood sign on the way up.

Sydney, Anna, myself and Morgan.
A little throwback to the 90s with the sweatshirt tied around the waist :)

The collection of buildings on the right is downtown Los Angeles.

This is looking towards the coast.
It's hard to see in the picture, but we could see all the way to the ocean!

(There's a really cool planetarium inside!)

Looking the opposite direction.
See the Hollywood sign?

Testing out the panoramic camera on my phone.

 On top of the world!!!
Or just on a top of a stump...

For those of you who have never seen LA "smog" before, here you go.
That yellow/orange haze is smog. Yuck.

But still a beautiful view.

Matching on accident.

Woo!

Excited for a fun Saturday night!

Sunday afternoon at the Melrose Trading Post.
The flea market takes place every Sunday in the parking lot of Fairfax High School.
The $2 admission fee goes to support the students.
It's a fun way to support the community, enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon outdoors, and find lots of unique hidden treasures!

This morning, I heard a "winter storm" is headed our way.
Not sure what LA considers a winter storm, but I'm guessing this is it?
I prefer to say, "Rain, rain go away."

The cutest thing I ever did see!
Tyler giving Grace a little smooch on the cheek.

Grandma captured this. When she got ready to take the picture they were both looking at the camera. Afterwards she noticed Tyler had leaned in for a kiss. (Aww!)

Happy 10 month birthday to my favorite twin cousins!!
(I miss these two cuties so much.)

Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!

xx
